Scooter rider down on Borough High Street

Arrrrrgggghhhh… really yanks my chain when no-one gets out of thier cage (car) to help a bike / scooter rider… Fking pcks were even still trying to squeeze past him whilst he and his scooter lay on the floor. :angry:I quickly put my bike on its side stands (still idling), got off, and ran across the junction to get to him, guy in his 40’s +, laying in the middle of the road, scooter on its side still running, he wasnt really saying a lot just grunting, he was concious though which was good, tried to ask him if he was Ok and did he think that he had broken anything but he wouldnt give me an answer, a passer by asked if an he needed an Ambulance as he wasnt really speaking i said ‘yes’, by this point 2 other motorcyclists had got off thier bike and come over, and 1 of them was trying to get some sense out of him so i went off to pick up and turn off his scooter as it was pi$$ing oil in the middle of the road.

I handn’t seen anything of the crash but remember a lorry driver tooting his horn as a Vauxhall Astra was trying to squeeze in… not sure if that was anything to do with the accident though or not.

seemed the guy was in good hands, there was a guy talking to him in a high vis vest who looked pretty with it so i asked if there was anything i could do, but all was in hand and the ambulance was on its way

Decided that i couldnt do anymore… he was in good hands and there was now 4 people all tending to him , no-one had seen anything so i got back on my bike and made my way very carefully to work…

so        angry that no-one had got out of thier car to help him and that people were still trying to get past even though they could see him laying there in the middle of the road!

Typical cagers really, all enclosed in their lovely safe spaces…

To not help someone in need is never a nice thing, but be real this is London a busy city full of busy people with better things to do and were always in a rush, so you have to learn to fend for youself even in the worst of times if someone helps then good on them but don’t exspect it, or cry about it if they don’t

Good on you mate you have a heart of gold hears a cookie

Sad, but happens all the time now, something happens to somebody and nobody gives a damn. Just as well bikers are different, can’t count the times when other bikers have helped me.

What a bullshit place this is then if no-one has a minute to spare to help someone in need!

Sorry but i couldnt try and squeeze past in my car if someone were laying in the middle of the road potentially seriously hurt…

It’s not just the car drivers that ignore the accidents.

I’ve seen quite a few bike accidents in the last 2-3 weeks where no one has stopped, bikers or otherwise! It seems that no one wants to get involved or be late for work due to it

spot-on exactly, who the fcuk are you for me to get out of my car for?..it’s not affected me, so i don’t need to.
.
what a selfish city we live in hey!.

get well soon rider…

Glad to hear you helped out. Not all car drivers are bad though, this story on pistonheads restored my faith in humanity

If i see a biker down or on the side of the road, i always stop to see if he/she is alright reguardless if i`m in my car or bike.
