Scooter for commuter

not sure what you mean about span??

they are a bit harder to service than bikes as they have so much plastic that needs removing. but the parts are v cheap.

The PS has been running 20 miles a day 5 times a week for the past 2,5 yrs with no problems (apart from a broken speedo cable that cost £6 and 10 mins for me to replace)

A four stroke water cooled 125 will go on virtually forever if properly maintained. Apart from changing oil and filter every 4000 miles (probably involves removing one panel with about three screws) and replacing the plug and cleaning the air filter every 8,000 miles, most 125s won’t need anything else doing probably. Obviously these intervals vary from bike to bike, but the above is typical.

It is a myth that servicing scooters involves removing loads of bodywork. On an X9 250 with the Honda engine, for example, plugs, cables, even valves could be worked on by removing two panels, each held by one screw, and changing the oil involved removing one panel held by two screws.

im greek i like myths

Gilera runner, easy to fix when they go wrong, well nippy and frugal, 72 mpg, small light an nimble…and quick

Now if you had said ‘if they go wrong’ rather than ‘when they go wrong’ you would have sold me on the idea
