Well we had a reasonable night, the rain kinda kept away, the BBQ dished out some bootiful burgers, about 25 bikes came along. Hopefully get more next month. Good to meet all those that came.

Hi Steve,We’ve set a date of 14th July for the next Sarratt Bike Night. Hopefully the bloomin weather will be better.
Will defo aim to get the BBQ going again and maybe improve upon the last meet (being as that was our first one). Any ideas welcome.
Going to need some nice French food and wine, July 14th being the remembrance day for the taking of “La Bastille” and all.
A nice French Theme would be good.
I’ll come along to the next one. Nice to see plenty of stuff going on near me on LB.

Paul, on your forum before your 1st night I am sure there was a couple of posts from a user called bikerwatch who was apposed to your event and, looking now, they are no longer there and assume they have backed down.
I know you only had 25 bikes there but I take it no negative feedback has been received from locals since the event?

Yes there was a post which I have removed as I found it just plain nasty. It was from one of the campaigners who don’t want us to have the bike nights. We have had no complaints since the event, it was just a pleasant evening with BBQ and stuff, lots of bike talk went on etc. Even the neighbour hasn’t said it was too noisy. No idiots turned up it seems which is how we wanted it. If it gets to the point where people start abusing our bike night by wheelieing etc then we would have no option to stop doing the events. As most people are aware there used to be a bike night at a different pub in Sarratt about 5 years ago, which did attract a few idiots due to the large number of bikes that turned up. Though we want the numbers, we don’t want the attention that a few bikers give by being stupid. So if anyone is reading this and are thinking of coming to our next event on Monday 14th July please bear this in mind.
A lot of bike nights do get closed down because of the few, ruining it for the rest.
