Same thieves strike again?

I was in YSL in Harrow last night looking for a new bike and the salesmen told me that a guy pulled up at a set of lights in Greenford on his R1 a few days ago and two guys pulled up alongside on a ZX6, kicked him off the bike and took it.

This sounds like the same two that attacked me and took my bike - same modus operandi, area and, thinking back, it could well have been an old ZX6 that they were on. They also shouted something to me at a set of lights on Hanger Lane but they turned green and I moved off.

Just want to reiterate a warning to everybody to stay vigilant and be careful.

Crazy stuff, keep an eye on those mirrors people. Suspicion of other bikers would be a terrible thing, but vigilence is required to stop these dickheads striking again.

Hey, you! Bandit still isn’t starting, but Daz drew me a picture of the starter and I think that I can fix it if I open it up. I can give it a try tonight and you are welcome to borrow it until you sort out your new baby. Let me know if you need it for a while…I won’t use it until the end of December at this rate.

They must be locals then David and not just people that followed you home from The Ace.

I wish i had a car to drive around and keep an eye out. Chances of seeing them at Greenford station when i get off the tube are slim

is there a case here for a bit of a ‘set-up’? seeing as the old bill probably won’t!

Seriously - be vigiliant - i’ve warned my housemate who rides through there everyday - though he’s on an Srad so might be ok…told him to watch out though…maybe we can spread the word across the other bike forums if we can be sure what bike it is…

David, did you have the same bike as me ?. I think I heard about you up ace, did sparky and that go to see if they could find the geezers who done it ?

I have only third party insurance, anywone who trys it on with me Ill do my best to **** them up !

It will cost me 10k if they try and take my bike, so I aint gonna sit down and let them take it

Yes, exactly the same bike. And it has cost me at least 3K even though I have Fully Comp insurance, what with aftermarket parts, excess and decpreciation.

Be VERY careful on that R1. They seem to be very attractive in our area at the moment!

Thanks for posting the pic GoF. I’m pretty sure that’s a good match for the bike they used with me. ANyone got any pictures of the headlight shape?
