Difficult to say. I’d say we probably have the numbers if people turn up, but a voice on the council is what we really need. I contacted Hackney council’s bicycle member who got confused over whether I rode a cycle or a bike. When he thought I rode a cycle, he was pulling out all the stops. When he discovered I rode a bike, the response was “well, I dont think there is anything I can do to help”…Anyone know any Hackney politicians? (old street coverage)…
Is there anyone in the Parliament/the House of Lords who we can bribe /rides a motorbike - who we can get to speak up on our behalf and get some action on this?Apparently Hazel Blears is a keen biker and also Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government. :w00t:
Please look on the theft section and PM Dutch. The police will be VERY intersted if you can positivly identify Jimmy Tan as he will now be tried as an adult. Also, buy your security guard a baseball bat.
Mate it aint Jimmy Tan… I know these boys, I caught them just before xmas trying to take a KTM outside my office. The police knew the kids and even said to me that they would be back at it again as soon as they get their slap on the wrist.
after speaking to the copper last time, I will not bother calling them, I will just give them a little bit of my own treatment.
you could see this copper was proper deflated he just said to me they will take him in, the CPS will say there is not enough to do anything about it, he will get a warning and will be back out doing it again.
he said he had taken this kid in himself about 11-12 times!!
it is stupid the law needs to be changed because this kid knows all thats going to happen is he will get a warning.
If I catch a little fugger touching my bike - I’ll cave his face in with my knuckle protection, then I’ll chuck his bmx over one of the railings. Don’t care one bit how old he is, if he chooses this path, then he chooses the consequences.
Hence a well phrased letter to someone in power could make all the difference… I am going to propose to Hazel Blears that a Bill be circulated round Parliament over it. Every council has an objective to cut crime figures. There will also be benefits for fewer insurance claims and promoting greener transport (I mean, check out how much councils spend on car share schemes! Just use a bike!)…
I empathise but as I said, Jimmy Tan is no longer a kid, he is now 16 and WILL be treated as an adult. The police really really dont like him!!! Read into that what you will.
Nice one - we really need to get going on this - tell her it’s a quality of life issue (that’s a buzz word at new labour) - e.g. our quality of life is being turned to sh1t by these w8nkers.
If so, ask your munitions chap if he will give you a few claymore anti-personnel mines. Position them on your rear tire, sit 100ft away and watch the fireworks… just make sure that you remember to disarm the bike before you get on!
Biker: Hello? Is this the National Grid Control Centre?
Customer Services Dude: Yes, how can I help you?
Biker: Oh good. You can turn off the grid now, I am about to get onto my bike.
Dude: Ah yes, Mr Biker. No problem. We like to save peoples’ electricity for them… means we tick the eco-warrior box twice a day - once when you come in of a morning and once in the evening
Biker goes to praise or shame section of LB to praise customer services at the National Grid…
lol this is a quality idea one draw back.although this would stop the theif in his tracks and stop the bike from being stolen… the bike would be blown up with it therefore you will be screwed either way.
What neckie little s***s!Ref the idea of claymores…ummmm yes as previously mentioned, you will stop the theft of your prized bike but u will also watch aforementioned bike launch 100ft into the air and then spread it’s self across half the district. A more targeted ‘strike’ would be to use whats know as a shaped charge or place 4 ‘parrot’ anti personnell mines around the bike. These little parrots jump into the air take out the theif and leave the bike almost untouched. Apparently…so I’ve been led to believe…Alternatively a two pronged attack - cricket bat the ‘charming little darlings’ and bombard MP’s. This’ll give both a short term solution, not to mention satisfaction and also initiate a long term outcome.
