I went this afternoon to infinity motorcycles in order to by a new lid and some other stuff!!
After trying 5 or 6 different helmets and finally find the one i wanted i found out that Infinity no longer gives discount to london bikers!!!:ermm:
The gentlemen in the shop said that they stop the discounts because they were loosing money as they had more and more customers coming to the shop because they new they could get a good deal !!!
Correct me if i am wrong, but isn’t better to have loads of customers buying stuff every day with 10% discount than not saling as much???
I went into Hanger Ln last week and bought a new helmet after discovering that the one I had purchased from another store (in Old Stevenage!) was not a good fit after only 8 months of wear (and it was only used a handful of times as a pillion!).
It was only my 3rd visit to the store but my husband and I were acknowledged, by name, as soon as we got into the store, coffee & pastries were produced within a few mins and they went out of their way to make sure I was fitted correctly and was happy with my new helmet (even checking out the heavily reduced sale helmets too).
No discounted was offered due to head-office cutting back, a freebie was thrown in (well, I paid 1p for it) but to be honest, I wasn’t expecting a discount. I wouldn’t walk into Next or HMV and demand a discount when I go to the till, it just doesn’t happen… And I certaintly wouldn’t walk away from a purchase if no discount was offered…my safety is more important that £10 off something!
Maybe not in normal shopping BUT if i had gone there because they advertised an LB discount then changed their mind after i was about to pay then I wouldn’t buy it from there. I’d take my business elsewhere even if i had to pay full price in another place.
I really don’t get you lot expecting ££££ off of stuff. I buy my stuff there because of the ease of location & service-who else gives you cakes a cuppa and good laugh?
Yes it may be advertised on here but doesn’t that tell you something… things need updating
I don’t expect to go into any shop and knock money off stuff… even if discount is advertised I still haven’t got the ****** to ask for it!
at the end of the day i expect you can byu a helmet anywhere and if you did online then it would probably be even cheaper…sometimes its worth paying a little extra for good service.
Please note that there’s no official member discount arrangement with Infinity, it’s just that before particular store staff have offered this to the community. And if I’m right, all those staff have moved on to new pastures as well!
What I would say though is that I think it’s about time Infinity returned the favour of all this trade we’re putting their way.
