Route to pyrenees?

I was about to say roll August, but there is plenty of fun to be had before then

On the way back on one of the hair pin sections we had a game of cat and mouse with a Lotus exige driven very hard by someone who knew the road intimately, what we gained on the short straights he gained on the corners discretion being the better part of valour we all eventually let him past; then the guy on the pan caught him up and took him on one of the bends peg down styleé laughed… I nearly crashed

The roads above where I am staying

Man, you will love it, Just got back from Italy, Caught the train from dover to Calais then Headed to Burgos in west Spain with Nice day. We managed to hack off 1000 miles in one stint (18 hours ) door to door.

Then we had a play in the Picos Europs and on to Valencia on the east coast. Had a couple of days there playing around the small mountain range near val and then on to Lloret De mar for a good old knees up. Couple of days to burn off the hang over and try and get rid of the saddle sores of 2000 miles.

We then broke up and I headed off to the border at perpingnon (cant be arsed to spell check ). on to monaco for lunch at Cafe Paris, nice sandwich for 50EU BAck on the road with Italy as a destination stopping for an over nighter in St tropez and playing on the south coast road took up all the morning, GREAT ROADS. Through Girona and into parma taking in the windy and wet Penninies of Northern Italy. HEaded up through Burgos into the Swiss alps and a night in a 5* hotel for the price of a cheap knocking house brought a smile to my face. Next day the plan is to back in the UK for tea.

So with 900 miles to cover and a train booked at 9pm Im off, on the road alone at 7am with the Sun beating down, the roads dry, the air cold and the mountains still snow capped I hack off with some of the best roads in the world to play with. Im in Zurich for Lunch, Champagne for an afternoon bite and on the 9.30pm train and back in my bed before the day is out.

Euro touring is awesome, Wish I was you and have a great time and be safe, AA cover is worth its weight in GOLD out there!

5 days to go  :-

thanks for the posts, home now.

The new alternator arrived but did not fix the problem, latest was a suspected problem on the wiring loom… because this was on Thursday and my ferry was booked for Saturday the AA agreed to fly me home and ship the bike back.

Let’s see what they make of it at the dealers.
