Round abouts

Anybody recommend any good round about locations North of the river?? Found a cpl up the A10 the other week, with on 3 entry and exits on. Had some nice knee scraping fun. They where really quiet with road traffic and miles away from housing.

Still looking for more!:D:P

well id be keen to practise with ya im in edmonton/enfield

Just a friendly word of advice.

Things like this are best not discussed openly on a public forum as this might cause unwanted attention:cool:

I think it’s a straight fine and 3 points if the old bill catch you trying to get your knee down. Something about you not having full control of the bike if your hanging off it!!!

This came up before and one of the forum law officers clarified a few things…

There’s no strict offence attributed to knee down on roundabouts…

As long as…

A) You don’t exceed the speed limit, and

B) You do not go around for more than (I think) 3 times, at which point I believe you are deemed to be causing an obstruction.

If you were wobbling around uncontrollably as you attempted a KD though, then any copper would probably have just cause to arrest you.

Cheers for the advise ChunkyMonkey!! Can people Just PM me please!

Also about the police bit, For me you could just say the same for speeding. Its against the law, if caught you might get points and a fine, But why do we do it??, Because it SO BLOODY GOOD FUN!!!

Cheers !!

Please bear in mind though that with the tarmac temperature a lot lower at this time of year, it will take a lot longer to get your tyres up to optimal grips levels to do stuff like this. I don’t want to read about someone low-siding their bike on a round-about!

+1 What he said.

It’s cheaper to do a winter trackday and get yer knee down than bin it on a roundabout.

There’s a hint up there

Good call!!

Wise words Jay:)

It’s not an offence to get yer knee down…

but rightly quoted, don’t exceed the speed limit, be IN control , and don’t go round and round endlessly…:hehe:

and most importantly,as Jay has already mentioned, make SURE those tyres are warm…

Enjoy!
