Roller Protector

Hi Guys

I brought my Yamaha XJ on the weekend and just been looking at accessories , I come across these , seems like a lot of money plus to fit them from bike shop would cost 30 quid on top is it worth it? , would appreciate your opinions.

Thanks

Mate ,

I put my ride on the deck last year when I slipped on the ice and snow and if I hadnt put the bobbings and crash mushrooms on my bike the damage and therefore the extra cost would have far outweighed the intial spend !!

Well worth in IMHO.

Hi,
You only have to browse about on here to see how many people have dropped / crashed their bikes and had major damage prevented due to crash bungs. One of the bike mags recently did a test on 'em. Those particular ones do seem expensive, maybe cos there a genuine part?

a must have really…

needs a lil fly screen too, you know what, im thinking superduke or CB1000r screens may fit!

R&G crash bungs are a lot cheaper than the yamaha one,s & they are better than yamaha one,s. go for the R&G,s.

If they cost more than Puig you have to ask “are they worth the extra?”.

Then it’s your choice.

Definitely worth fitting, sooner or later they all hit the deck - check out R&G as mentioned - could work out cheaper.

Yep def put some on… may not look very nice - but it looks nicer than cracked panels & broken controls :w00t:

I have just bought some new design R&G. If you go for the bungs designed for faired bikes they are generally smaller, more streamlined and prettier than the standard ones. You need to make sure they are the right ones for your engine casing.

Good instructions on how to fit - for some R&G have animations on their website.
