Loved his style of cooking, fling everything in a pot and leave it, then get smashed. Who cares what it tastes like when your toasted???
My only big surprise was that he didn’t go from liver failure.
Still use his wine measures for cooking. Tip the bottle at 45 degrees, count 1…2 s l o w l y. That’s two glasses.
Let’s not forget that as well as drinking on television, he also got away with smoking in the lulls of cooking.

I have never chortled like that - the guy was srsly funny and srsly British. His love for piccalilli, tinned corned beef and tinned heinz soup. I understood what he meant that this sort of food was home. Loved the fact that he felt that the celeb chefs of today have sold themselves to the glamour of tv and called them c**ts. Awesome!
He was one seriously top chef, The likes of Jamie Oliver and co are just crap in comparision.
