A biker didn’t make it this morning on Whitehall this morning.
They had a collision with a bus.
RIP whoever you are.

I heard about this on the news this afternoon but couldn’t find any more information.
Always awful news when one of our own goes.
RIP.

Shortly after I had just started riding I saw a bus run over a motorcyclist. It ran right over his chest. The article in the paper said, “He was not wearing a helmet”. Which REALLY irritated me, as if that made a difference! The purpose of a helmet is not to preserve a beautiful corpse. Bus pulled out on the street while he was along side, rear wheels caught him and crushed him. He never had a chance.
Be careful.

Happened round the corner from my workplace, My fellow colleague witnessed it, It didnt look pretty.
R.I.P fellow biker.

is always sad to hear when a fellow biker dies even more so wen it was a bus from my garage that was involved. the driver of the bus has been treated for shock.
the police were appealing for witnesses through centrecom the bus emergencey channel most of the day
very sad day

:ermm::crying:
RIP biker…for sure frogga thats a double whammy…must really bring it home…
This maybe contoversal, and I am sad for any loss of life. I saw it, the biker tried to squeeze a gap like a surfer on a tube and misjudged it. It’s very sad, no doubt someone was waiting for a person that never arrived (better late than never).
It was not the bus drivers fault but he has to live with that forever!
We need to be aware, breath take a step back and think, think bike, think right.
Did you see the pictures, how do you think the bike ended up on the reservation?
cuss me down, say what you want, I am sorry for the loss of life, we are not invinsable and I have not survived 3 years despatching and a further 6 years riding for a living (5 of those under some serious time pressure) without learning some lessons. Learn lessons!!!.
I don’t want to offend anybody and if anyone knew the rider my heart felt sympathy goes out to you.
Be aware, don’t take unnecessary risks, whoever it is can wait a minute and we can all come home and tell what a wonderful day we’ve had on our bikes.
Don’t let the mistake be yours.
R.I.P

i only found out it was a biker wen i got bk in the garage for my meal releif so it was more like chinese whispers i got told so many different views of wat happened it all got a bit confusing
the police where @ the garage collecting the cctv footage from all our buses that were on whitehall at the time of the accident.
R.I.P, Thoughts are with the family and friends.

Next time I go for a fifty fifty gap, I may just think twice before jumping in.
well posted dunk, i think thats well written. RIP fellow biker…
I know a lot of people dont like it but I really think lessons can be learned from knowing how these accidents happen…the real details, not he was speeding as used to be the old fashioned answer…if it makes us just think that moment before doing something too risky then it has helped us.
Sad sad week thats the second fatal i’ve heard of:crying: the other was a fireman on bread and cheese hill in benfleet who rode every day from hampshire to hadleigh firestation to work R.I.P and thoughts are with the familys.
Very sad, RIP. Hope his family can rest too.
Every time I go out on my bike I wonder if it’ll be the last time I ever go out, just shows how easy it it to make it the last time.
