Hello mate, how you doing?, We should be back at Oakdene between 4 & 5pm and no to your second question;), this ride is suited to regular riders and is moderately paced.
Mr Kong, please read up on the cornerman system and arrive ready to ride. Welcome to LB and i hope you enjoy the first of many rides with LB.
KingKong: You are the cornerman if you’re the first rider behind Rob leading on. When he points out a spot, you mark it.
Everyone passes you then until the last person comes who signals you that all are through and you to go.
The first person who has passed you when you’ve marked the corner is the next cornerman at the next corner, and so on and so on. So in the end everyone apart from the last person marks a corner, and in normal circumstances the leading rider, Rob in this case, should not mark a corner either (this only happens if the 2nd person is out of sight)
Mr Kong, if you find yourself behind me at any time on the ride then it’s more than likely you’ll be a cornerman, I’ll point to a place at a junction, exit off a rounderbout or any safe spot for you to stop and mark it, when and only when you see the tailgunner approach behind you, then you may continue with the ride, simples.
The tailgunner will be identified before the ride.
Makes me a little nervous being a cornerman but I will give it my best
I hope to meet you at the tea hut at 0900hrs (if I don’t oversleep as will be celebrating my 30th the night before) as it’s closer to me than the ride out point; plus I wouldn’t find it as well without following you there
