:-( Right indicator not working

Maybe this is a simple problem but when I flip the switch to my right indicator it doesn’t work, it doesn’t seem to engage the switch properly. I can turn it left fine but the right one only seems to come on sporadically, it doesn’t work everytime I press it.

It’s like the switch on my indicator is broken. Should I take this to a mechanic or am I over looking something?

It’s a Fazer FS600 2002 model.

As said it does come on sometimes but it’s really random, very dangerous actually.

maybe the relay is broken or has loosened

both front and rears dont work? check the wires and change the bulbs

It comes on now and again so not too sure. Also the clicking noise has stopped, I’m absolutely positive the indicator used to make a clicking noise?

I would start with checking the switch if both don’t work. They can get corroded inside or the external contact with the loom can get corroded.

Do the cheapest thing first. Check the bulbs.

I’ve wasted hours in the past thinking I’d got a switch/wiring problem only to find that it was a duff bulb.

After that, check the switch (contacts) as the quality of those is cwap.

Booked it in to the shop to get looked at on next tuesday, until then I can only turn left: :ermm:

The mechanic said it sounds like a loose connection. I might get the tools out and have a butchers. Shame my mate isn’t home he’s a engineer for Mercades McLaren.

sounds like grit or something in your switch gear to me
