This is true…I once rode a Guzzi V50 (a very small, fairly light 500cc bike) across the Wicklow mountains in Ireland, which were under about 6" of snow. Bike felt stable and we ploughed through several miles of the stuff without falling off. Wouldn’t have wanted to do it if the snow hadn’t been fresh though.
