Riding around holes.

Just read Rottie’s report of holes in the road nr Piccadilly.

Reminds me of a tip I was given a while back, and that is if you can’t see the road surface ahead of the car in front (in towns it’s likely 'cause of other cars), you should ride in ‘the tracks’ of the car. That way when the car swerves, you should be prepared to.

If there is a hole that the car will straddle, and you are following between the car’s tracks, they won’t swerve and you lose a wheel / a fortune / dignity etc…
