We just drove it last weekend. There was a lot of traffic in Antwerp (prob wasted an hour in queues with trucks and lorries and it looked the same on our way back even though it was a Sunday). There was traffic again somewhere on the way out but prob only a 10min delay. Antwerp was terrible but on a bike you would be filtering so it shouldnt make too much of a difference.
It took us almost 8 hours in a van with a chunnel delay and then the traffic… but once broken up with the crossing and a couple of other stops, I reckon it would be totally possible without an overnight stop on a bike. Depends if you know your accommodation for Assen is definitely sorted…I wouldnt want to arrive at a campsite knackered at 7pm and have to pitch a tent! And if thats what you are doing, its prob best to get an evening crossing and stop a couple of hours into the journey.
