Firstly I know this should be in the ride out section but I didn’t think it would get very well noticed there.
Here goes:
I fancy a little ride out tomorrow night from the ace. Nothing special just some local roads I know about 20 mins ride from the ace. Around the elstree, radlett area good for about an hour or so’s ride. The roads aren’t brilliant but good enough to have some fun on. I just wanted to see if any of the local london boys would be up for this? Good way to meet people and have some fun.
Now I am not a fast rider I ride well within my limits so this ride would be at your own pace just stop at the end of a road so the group can catch up. These roads are also good as we can come back to the ace after to have a chat and a drink kick the tyres etc.
I am going to be down the ace from 7pm tomorrow night weather permitting but it’s due to be a nice evening. The more the merrier and I hope some of you can make it. As I said it’s no major event but I thought I might try and organise this ride out as it could be a laugh.
As for directions and the area I can organise some maps etc but really thats not needed as the route isn’t difficult and like I say if anyonr gets split up just pull over at the next available point to re group.
So anyone fancy it? I will be doing this ride tomorrow on my own anyway so why not tag along!
Look forward to seeing you.
Cheers
Terry.
Ps. If you don’t know what I look like to recognise me, tall bloke, glasses, doohan rep lid, black and silver belstaff leather jacket. Sorted. In other works an ugly bloke lol!
ooh maybe… what time are you thinking of?
I’m getting the bike back tomorrow after a re-map so looking forward to getting out on it and finding out how much of an improvement it’s made! Could do with being shown some decent roads within easy reach too!!
I am with Andrew on the near the 7pm mark I would ideally like to leave the ace shortly after 7pm and not much after 7.30pm because we will lose the light. I will be down the ace from 7pm onwards so if your up for it be there. I will stay near my bike to help peeps recognise me.
My brother who rides a supermotard - wicked motard he has too!
A friend of mine called Reg - big lad. He lives round the area that we are goign for a ride to so he may well lead the way as he knows the roads better than I do.
Hi, there! Logged in late today and didn’t know if it would be worthwhile to suggest coupling two ride-outs. Dean, one of the usuals at the Ace, suggested a ride-out to Southend tonight (fish and chips, I am told), then back up to London for Frith. They wanted to leave around 8pm, but I am a nightmare and tend to work late. I talked them into an 8:30pm departure.
It looks like a fairly large group heading out, and we all ride to our own levels, so no worries. I have only been riding since November and I am trying to get to grips with a Firedblade (loving it, but not the best rider in the world). The boys will teach me, so no worries!
Hello, Stan! I will keep an eye for you . We tend to hang out by the door…Pannie, Pete, Rod, Anna, Tash, Jay, Tony, Serena, David, etc., etc. It is quite a large and friendly group. Pick your pace and you should be able to find a good match in the group. The ride-out is loosely organised, but we tend to always have loads of friends around.
I am on a flip-flop reddish/orange Fireblade and have black/red/silver/white Alpinestar leathers. I am 6’1" with hair that should have originated in Texas (no matter what I do…thank God for helmets!). I’ll keep my eyes peeled!
I am going to do my own thing but like I said I have got a couple of mates coming with me anyway so if you fancy the big group mate go for it sounds like it would be a laugh.
Guess we’re gonna be loitering in the carpark, nervously eye-ing up strangers, looking for people with the Telegraph under their arms or feathers in their hats, orwhatever spies do these days.
I’ll be next to my 'ped with Alpinestar cap on, so fairly distinctive, or near the yellow ZX6R, which is even more so.
Let spontaneity and chaos reign. However the lure of fish 'n chips may prove the decisive factor.
