If you have a bag you chuck on your bike when you go for a ride out, what do you keep/throw in it?
I know what I keep & throw in mine before sticking the thing under the cargo net on the back seat and it’s all sensible things.
Apart from the food bars, kitchen roll and wet wipes, it was all the wrong sensible things on Saturday and I’m going to start adding “stuff”.
Same with the hopeless Italian tool kit. What a poor joke that is.
Forget the plastic and the mobile, we all have those somewhere, it’s the bits I’m interested in. You know, the cable ties, the gaffer tape, the whatever.
Lol, I carry a trailer, tools taxi service and petrol! (breakdown cover). In my ‘boot’ I have ‘waterproof’ gloves, disc lock grab net and lil tool kit which so far has been awesome.
If I take a bag, camera, security cable, STP petrol treatment, flat cap (Derbyshire), Blue Badge (not that I’ve ever used it), asthma inhaler (not that I’ve ever used it), possibly biccies / sweets / water and the usual toot like wallet, fags/roll ups etc.

I carry a spare plug. The bike being a single, it works overtime and it’s about the only thing on a bike I can do
I also carry spare tubes. I’ve been told that the recovery people can’t refuse to fit it when you ask them and I’d much rather ride home than being towed because of a flat.
As of Saturday, I realised one should also take disposable gloves.
I’m not quite with Toby-1-kenobi. Most makes sense, but a rubber chicken?
Dreise, Lessismore and I have, I think, decided that the spare cable is good, with some solderlesss nipples. And some bendy wire and, if you have disposable gloves, put them on before you start work! And make sure you have a decent hub nut spanner, one that works, not the tool kit crap.
A sink with hot and cold running would be good but it aint going to happen
Spare tubes? Maybe, but I’ve not carried those since the 70’s (like the spare spokes!) and I ain’t gonna start again now.
Spare spark plug makes sense, particularly if you ride a single.
Like I say, keep the ideas coming and I’ll try to collect the “ideal” list together that’s compact sensible and fairly low bulk/weight.
Oh yes. This is for the pragmatic, practical bikers that travel expecting things to go t*ts up once in a while.
Just remembered, It’s too late for the hair gell and the condoms.

purse, keys ,tyre pressure guage ,packet of tissues , edz windproof top(is great squashes up really tiny in its own bag ) , sunglasses,visor cleaner ,phone ,AA membership. maybe camera, maybe them chewy bar things ,maybe some red bull or water .
depending on the weather waterproofs too
i used to ride a scooter with loads of room under the seat and i am missing the space !!
