Ride on - Ride out, this sunday and throughout the summer from East London

hey

This sunday we’re organising a ride out, leaving 6pm from the Bolt store in Hackney. Now that summer’s here let’s make the most of the long night and get out of London for some fast roads and fast food. Everyone welcome, all bikes, no rules, just turn up and head out. So for the first run this sunday we’re heading to southend, nice easy ride to begin with, and some good rock-a-billy music spots for when we get there. Come down to Bolt, fieldworks, 274 Richmond road, london E8 3QW. The entrance to london fields is on Martello street, around the corner - if you see pub on the park, head down to where the railway crosses and through the big gates. my number 07963747389 if you get lost!

see you there , spread the word!

6pm start :w00t:

That’s like nigh on bedtime, we usually roll 9am early doors

That’s bike in the garage , first beer and BBQ lit time

Agreed…

Though good idea if you have to work on sundays and looking for a after work ride

…and motogp lined up on the TV…

Not on a School Night

Apparently, despite so many “encouraging” comments, this idea is not that bad. There are number of people who work in the sales industry. They will finish their work at 4pm (if lucky). So they can’t attend to the “morning” rideout which will start in the morning but usually will finish long after shops get closed.
There is another group, which is not to keen to spend whole Sunday on the bike. Some usually split from ridouts.

So maybe instead of pointing out, what one would prefer to do with his time at 6pm, just let the guy go with his plan.

I bet, if I would start moaning within Jetstream thread, that the rideout is:

  • too early
  • to far meeting spot
  • to slow
  • to long
  • to expensive lunch
  • to expensive petrol stations
  • too much green laning
  • to dirty bike after :stuck_out_tongue:
  • I could be in the church
  • I could have bbq with beer instead
  • I could watch F1
  • I could watch “Hollyoaks omnibus”
  • I could watch “Bargain hunter”
  • to many water crossings, and I can’t swim…with the bike on my back.

and so on and so forth, many would point out the obvious: “Rideouts thread are for purpose of information not a discussion, post I’m in, or f… off.”

I can bet money on this one actually…

boltlondon: do you mind post raught mileage and time when it’s finished please.

Thank you,
R

ps. Chris apology for putting your name but there is no many others which I can point out as example. Your rides are great! :stuck_out_tongue:

Completely agree with what he ^^^^^^ said. The poor guy is trying to do something nice, if you don’t want to go fine, but no need to diss the idea.

Blade - you have just become my hero!

But now you mention it, Jetstream’s ride are:

  • too early, cos sometimes my hangover hasn’t finished
  • too far meeting spot, cos he knows I am next door to the darkside (aka Blackheath Tea Hut)
  • too slow, cos he always stops for those sticks with the red lights
  • too long, yeah why can’t he find pubs with shorter names
  • too expensive lunch and they never take Euros
  • too expensive petrol stations cos he goes out hinterland bound
  • too much green laning, rear didn’t have a chance to square off
  • too dirty bike after and not a Pepper Pig Muddy Puddle ride

I mean

  • I could be in the church with the Ducatis up north

  • I could have bbq with beer instead but I have to cook

  • I could watch F1 but the mapping is ok on my bike

  • I could watch “Hollyoaks omnibus” and spend quality time with the missus

  • I could watch “Bargain hunter” and get my Gixxer early

  • too many water crossings, and Art doesn’t do pillion.

O feck it, you only live once

I also agree with Blade.
Well said.

LOL @ PEPPER PIG!!!

well said, if they want to ride in the evening lets bloody let them. besides, i know of a few who regularly ride to oakdene, brighton and such in the evening on wednesdays quite regularly :Whistling:

Did anyone go on this? Any Comments?

I did not go, but for what I can see on their social media channels… hipsters, hipsters everywhere… after watching ‘Into the Unknown’ I wonder if Mr. Beckham’s friends are behind this venture.

Whatever, it’s about bikes, I’ll try to go by and report back.

Me thinks the original poster should at least come back with a some images/videos and a ‘see what you’ve missed’ overview of the evening

Maybe it just never kicked off.

Shame, it could have convinced some of us doubting Thomas’s that The London Palladium Bolt Hackney was the place to be ride out from on a balmy barmy Sunday evening

If it is all Hackney Hipsters involved then they are Far too cool to care what anyone thinks anyway, they are probably too busy drinking Fair Trade Coffee and shaping their Beards to take pictures and post them on-line

You suggesting LBers with beards don’t shape theirs too??

lol. but not as cool as a hipster in fake glasses and skin tight roll up jeans would

I resent that observation, I have a very shapely beard and there isn’t a skinny jean in sight!!!:hehe:
