This year the format is a little different, in addition to the main ride through Royal Wootton Bassett, there are also local rides throughout the country. I have done both the previous rides, and I can assure you, you will see grown men cry. The ride is on the 18th March, Mothers Day.
This is to be the last ride through RWB I will be there, and I hate being lonely!
Blimey David is that a year gone by… was brilliant last year, a real moving experience, was a fantastic turn out from the biking communities across the land… last Wootton Bassett then aye… yep I’m in…
What slot time is everyone booking? We’ll sort out a meet up then nearer to the time for the ride down
I’m going (along with some other’s from work - between the 4 of us, looks like around 100 yrs combined military service), we are in the 10am arrival ‘slot’.
Ah… well I booked the 11 o’clock slot yesterday morning… but not sure, if remember rightly, that the arrival times where that well policed anyway … mm… so don’t know
Also a reminder for anyone else thinking of going the registration close’s next Sunday 11th.
If anyone is going tomorrow and wants to ride down with us…
Claire, Jamie and myself are going to meet just off junction 5 on the M4 around 9 - 9:15…
Come off the west bound M4 at junction J5, take the first left onto the A4, the Honda building is opposite, there is is a BP (I think) garage a few hundred yards along… we will be there.
It’s about hour down to J17 for Hullavington… we have slots for 10 and 11 so aiming at about 10.30… don’t think it matters to much incase anyone has booked other… you very welcome to join us anyway
Hopefully see some of you other guys on the runway as well…
Great ride today though atmosphere didn’t seem quite the same as previous years, such a shame for a good cause.
Had a blast on the bike anyway, managed to avoid the deer and jamie’s back wheel successfully! I feel an early night is in order, absolutely shattered!
