Lee, Kevin broke lot’s of bits. The suzuki 500 was a beast and he was no stranger to the gravel trap.
After he retired the bike spat off several riders before (**** - can’t remember the Aussies name) managed a decent season. However, it got him in the end and his career was finished by a highside onto his head.
Wayne Rainey broke his back at his favourite track - Misano. He nearly died and has been in a chair since. That gave Kevin the title. Next year Kevin retired.
Those two were always good to watch, they had many a good battle.
