I have had the lid 4 years and never washed the inside (yuk yeah I know) but now it’s time too. Is it easy to remove all the padding and wash it? Is it easy to get back in and whats the best way to wash it? Bowl and soapy water?

Easy Peasy mate. The skull padding is held in with poppers, so just pulls out easily. The cheak pads are held in the same way, however they are a bit more fiddly cos you have to take the cover off to clean it, and it takes a little (not much) patience to get it back on without any creases. Baby shampoo is the thing to clean it with, although any mild shampoo will do the job.
