I’ll be watching the documentary from one of the world’s fastest growing megacities, Welcome to Lagos - 9pm on BBC2 
I think the film maker, whilst highlighting just how hard life is for Mr Average in a city like Lagos, also shows the hard effort and determination showed by many. Should be good viewing.

I remember well people working their socks off to make a dollar, you see it all over Lagos every day, from the guys selling things in the heat of the “Go slow” (traffic jam) to the guys independently filling in pot holes for whatever dash (money) the thankful motorists choose to pass out his window…you don’t see that in England;)
Contract finally settled so looks like I’ll be going back
