Anyone know if an off road bike KTM, CR etc can be registered and run on the road with a daylight MOT?

there is lots about mate and a off road bike will always be a bargain compared to a same bike road reg’d. you just need that letter of newness.
Hold on! Is this still current, I thought that doing this had all got tricky? Aint there legislation now about the hight and radius the corners and edges of petrol filler caps’n’sh1t?
I’m sure Enduro bike needs a Minimum sump clearance of 300mm and Minimum seat height of 900mm. rob got his crf450 passed on moto wheels by dropping the front forks in the yokes and stiffening up the rear shock & he also had the bike up on a stand in the van then only took the bike out once it was ready for inspection:) cabbie ask heinB cos he just reg’d his 450smr
