Did anyone else watch the new series last week?
What the hell has happened??? I know that since the departure of the Rob Grant that is struggled a bit, but series 7 and 8 were fun. The cliff hanger at the end of series 8 has clearly been ignored. Holly is once again missing, and the whole feel of it just is there any more.
They should have stopped at the third series . It could have had fawlty towers type legend status then .
I love Red Dwarf, even the later ones (which a lot of people dont).
I didnt like the short season 9, and the new season 10 is …urmm sitting on the fence at the mo, but it dont look good.

Up to 5 and I didn’t like it
New saw it, but by what’s being said it don’t sound like there is much to be missed.
all the reboots they have done for Dave have seemed to have forced laughter and poor scripts/scenarios
the originals were more zany, funny and simpler
I watched the new one, it wasn’t as good as the first few series but it was a massive improvement over the the shite 3 parter they put out the other year.
The return to live audiences was a must as the 4 of them being confined together and the relationship between them was what made the original so good. It wasn’t a laugh a minute but there were plenty of laughs in there for me. I was worried that it was going to be crap and was fully prepared to be disappointed, but I wasn’t, I enjoyed it.
Season 3 and 4 are some of the best TV you can see. 5 was okay, but yeah, they should have stopped at 6 at the latest really.
10 probably wasn’t as bad as I thought it could be. We’ll see how it goes I guess.
I’m going to keep watching because it has been something I have watched since the very beginning, but do think it is past it. Ten year gap is perhaps too long a time to resurrect.
I love Red Dwarf but i won’t watch the new one as i know it won’t be the same and it would spoil the whole thing for me, just like they did with Only fools and horses.
I managed to catch this last night and I though it was ok, now were near as good as the old ones but alight. has a few laughs from it but some thing just does not seem right.
I wont go out of my way to watch it but if im channel surfing and its on then so be it.
The fact they’re all doing it for the money/cause they can’t find anything better to do?
