Recommend me a tyre...GSXR1000 K7

Can anyone recommend me a tyre for my GSXR, I have BT016’s at the minute, which are good, but fancy a change.

The bike does a fair few miles commuting so super sticky is out of the question, but i dont want it to be like two wooden hoops.

If you do commuting then I’d say what Jaime said, or if it’s mixed commuting and lanes then try the Pilot Power 2s if you can still get them … :smiley:

I got 8000miles outta mine and that’s not commuting. Exellent in the wet too!!

In the end I went for the Sportsmarts, the only places local to me with the pilot 3’s wanted silly money, and now i’m sold, they’re top banana, will have to see what mileage is like, but the bike feels soooo much better again, damn squared off old tyres.

I’d say go for Super Maxxis!! Cheap, sticky and you’ll get loads of mileage outta them!! I’ve run them on all my bikes and for all round ability and cost they’re the one!!

+1, had them on my 750 and they were great wet or dry, mostly commuting so went for sticky front and touring rear in the winter, sticky all round in summer.

Pirelli Rosso 2’s

Hugly confidence inspiring in the wet and dry.

I have a customer who commutes on motorway with his VFR800 and has just clocked 12,000 miles on Rosso 2’s !

Just posted this elsewhere were but only got 3500miles from BT023s when I had the CBR600f. Have an 04 Gixer 750 now which came with BT014s and I’ve worn those out in no time at all. I use the bike virtually every day.

Going to try some Pirelli Angel/Demons next.

I’ve been looking around at tyres too …

Avon’s Roadrunners have been recommended to me as an all round tyre.
