Recommend me a cover

Just picked up a 1996 pan euro, which is currently living in my garden uncovered.

I have an old motrax deluxe over my fireblade, which is nearing the end of its life (lasted well shame they are discontinued ) and will go over the pan for now as it’s a bit big for the blade anyway.

So the Blade needs a new cover, looking at the oxford stormex at the moment had one several years ago until it died of uv damage (was second hand, came with a bike I bought). Any on with recent experience of the stormex or other covers? Also does anyone know if the Medium will fit a blade (954)?

I used to use a Rainex when I didn’t have a garage… I think I had a medium for a Suzuki GSR 600, which is a bulky naked 600… I would expect medium would fit but they should say roughly what they are for (I seem to remember oxford putting bikes it would fit on their descriptors as guides).

As far as I’m concerned the Rainex did it’s job fantastically for over a year I parked outside. Snow, rain, sunshine… it was really good. Only thing to be careful, but this applies to all covers, is not to have the exhaust too hot when you put it on. Mine was generally ok to be put on immediately after as I have underseat exhausts with plastic heating covers but once the end metal bit touched the fabric and made a little hole.

I had a Stormex over my bike for the year that it was parked in the street. They are really good I think, kept everything out and the bike was always dry. The chaps at Infinity Holborn suggested a Large for the RR and it fitted fine.

If you get one lock it down as tramps steal them to sleep in.

Luckily they are locked in the garden rather than on the highway, havnt had any problems with tramps setting up camp to date

Tried the existing one on the pan last night and it fitted fine, so ordered a medium stormex for the blade. Looked through the amazon reviews and there were a few 900/954/1000rr owners confirming it fitted well.

Check out the r&g outlet shop on eBay. Got some decent £40-50 covers going for around £20. Mine’s 6 months old now and still in decent nick. On and off every day, out in elements, rain, snow etc. No issues of melting on can either.

+1 to R&G Cover…

Thanks, had already ordered the Stormex though

Have to say its very plush, nice lining on the inside- I can see why the tramps would like them!

Medium is a perfect fit on the blade as well
