Not sure it’s for me but good luck to the inventor. I read in another story that he wants to sell it for £35 but dealers he’s spoken to want to flog it for £85 a time. Some mark-up.
It’s called a RiderScan mate. I have the prototype model on my FZ6 right now.
So far it has been pretty good.
When you first install it your just not used to looking into your dash for a rear view. But after a while of getting used to it, it’s great!
Gives a nice almost 180 degree rear view.
Very handy on faster roads for covering spots where a car might be travelling next to you at a matched speed.
You wouln’t use it to judge distance, but great for knowing when there is a vehicle in your proximity.
Very clever, when I read it I couldn’t believe that you’d be able to see right round but from the video it looks like you can see pretty much everything.
Premises 187: Do you have any helmet cam footage that shows it in use? Is it easy to fit (looks like it’s a bar clamp)? Does it help in town or are things a bit too hectic to be checking another mirror?
