Like it in black. Thought it only came in orange or white.
i took one out a few months back but it was persisting with rain so didnt really put her through her paces.Was going to revisit her for some more good times :w00t: but i think i’m now just going to hang on til the BM is out.
The RC8 still rocks though (respray the tank and it’s a winner)

For that amount of cash id be gutted! There all plastic and style over build quality and function.
You look down at the head stock, yoke, bars, mirrors - in fact entire dash and its all plastic, for that amount of cash Id be looking at the Ducati. FOr big bucks I’d expect precise engineering and top quality build - thats not what i see when i see the RC8???
However the Duke 990 was awsome! Scared the living daylights out of me and put a smile from one ear to the other!!! In my opinion KTM should stick to what they do best, off-road and supermoto.

I just saw one of these ones parked up outside the Sea Terminal… looked awesome in black and sounded great with the Acra’s…
I’m still dreaming of affording a standard one… the last thing I needed to see was this one!
As with all KTM’s you get quality components.
Brembo calipers, master cylinders, Braided lines OE, and high end WP suspension, which is every bit as good as the mass produced Ohlins stuff.
Hyside M/Cs in Collier row have a RC8 with a cracking Reb Bull paint job.
BTW - if they really do have a plastic head stock and yolk I think KTM have made a break through in weight saving!
Looks good… Its like having a skinny girlfriend. They are nice to look at but when you get them in bed you’d much rather have gone for the one with real world curves.

What I was saying though is although I love the styling of the RC8, And I do mean it is sexy as fugg in the pics. It just feels like an airfix kit in the flesh??? When you sit on a Ducati or MV you feel errr… like you’ve reached the end of the rainbow. And for that much money thats how I’d expect to feel. catch my drift

New Superduke is cool… I would go back to it and chop the R1 in i reckon… my '06 SuperDuke was the version with the lame excuse for a petrol tank… a usable 14litres approximatly… crazy on a 990 twin…
The new ones have 18 litres??
Local dealers sold their quota of RC8’s before they got on the shop floor… but they have a lovely SuperDukeR in the window… quickest way to divorce before I’m married I reckon.
