RBLR 1000/IRON BUTT UK ROLE OF HONOUR

As many of you know, a “few mad lb’rs” (myself included) recently completed 1000 + mile ride in less than 24hrs, all in aide of both The Royal British Legion and LAA.

The role of honour for that event can be found here; http://www.ironbuttuk.org/saddlesore.html Page down to the SaddleSore 1000 list. The names of those that completed it, all 166 of us are listed in alphabetical order by Christian name.

Pictures taken by the event organisor can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/taffcarr/sets/72157620336533444/

As a foot note, 187 riders started.

21 Did not finish; of that,

11 were to slow - arrived back at the start/finish point over 24hrs

6 Had mechanical failures

2 Suffered a flatty

1 Involved in a minor collision

From a personal point of view, I think all 187 are winners, simply for attempting this ride. At the end of it one of the staff asked me;

“Did you enjoy it?” YES!

“Would you do it again?” Oh Yes!!

Would the “few” name themselves below please.
