Rant Needed!

glad to hear u ok but all the above is spot on i recently have been involved with a R T A we didnt even touch but the cager caused me to slip and slide when i went to the cop shop the ladyofficer told me that it is quite frequent that some people cause an accident and drive off not realising so in effect is FALIAURE TO STOP if you got his reg check it out goodluck buddy !!

Hi All,

Right - apologies, I really can’t be effed to mess around making the replies all pretty in the quote banners, so doing it this way instead (coz I is a rebel, an all that :D):

5150 - yeah man, I was kinda hoping he’d be sitting there with it on his mind and his missus keep asking him whats wrong and he’s just sitting there wondering if he should tell her she married plank…

Sneaky - ta fella, I re-read my post this morning and don’t know why I mentioned the hi-vis - the dude obviously saw me or he wouldn’t have pulled out at all;

…think I was marked that more and more I have been trying to ride defensively as I have been examining my style lately (I think Elad will vouch for a particular overtake that’s best left unmentioned) and I realised I can be aggressive and rash occasionally, and that’s gonna get me dead, if not someone else as well, so yeah, Roadcraft all the way.

Franko - yeah - I thought so too, did look at his reg but the adrenaline wiped it from my mind :smiley:

Sid Throttle - same as - but rest assured I would report it if I had it - even if it amounted to no more than a knock on the door and a little chat from your friendly neighbourhood spiderpig (oops - sorry Broady :D) local Constable, it should be enough to make him realise he can be found…

Hannibal - zen is good dude, zen is good :wink:

Pan - wanna swap your Hornet for a 125 then dude? :stuck_out_tongue:

Kevsta - yeah, well, I take something from it - confidence that I handled it ok, the knowledge that next time it might not be and a reminder that I need to invest in some decent bike gear instead of keep buying carbon bling for my mountain bike.

Ya hear that, Anne-Marie? I said I need to invest in some decent bike gear - ya happy now? :stuck_out_tongue:

Gruntmon - if I were to make an assumption about the guys attitude, I would pin the tail right there - frustrated following me, even though I was, um, how do I put this safely… ‘within’ a 20% margin of the 50mph speed limit is prabably the best way to say it ( :cool: ), so his frustration was poorly placed in my humble opinion…

On the same subject, some cagers feel the need to get by an ‘L’ plate regardless of how well or at what speed they ride - it’s a Learnerist thing :angry:

Alistair, SteveCBR, Trisckie & Mad Dog - thanks for the comments peeps - much appreciated :smiley:

Phew… right… back to work :smiley:

Well done for keeping your cool - I wouldn’t have!

I would have ended up battering the guy - there is no excuse for such poor driving, and when it endangers the life of others it should be answered with extreme retribution.
