Racer gloves

At the NEC show i was looking for a pair of desent waterproof gloves. At the moment i have a pair of Triumph Hard carbon summer gloves, a pair of Alpinestar jet road winter gloves.

The Triumph gloves are fine but as theyve got wet a few times the leather now is tight as it must have shrunk and is now ucomfortable. The Alpinestar are great winter gloves but very bulky so ill only wear them if it`s really cold. So i was looking for a pair that i can wear in the winter, thin and fully waterproof.

I remember that a mate of mine bought a pair of Racer gloves and swore by them so i looked for a pair. Found them on the Infinity stand. I have now had them through cold mornings, warm days and torrential rain. So far these gloves have been better than i antisipated, in the rain the leather was soaked but no water got through the inside of the glove and that was through last Saturday downpour, in the cold my fingers where still alright and in the warm my hand didnt sweat. I recon these are the best gloves ive ever owned and i`ve had tried them all.

I paid £90 at the show which is about £10 off the retail price and worth every penny.

Mine are tops if not waterproof. And my mate Youngy wears’em too, and he pays for his kit so he picks only d’good stuff

It was me wot reccommended them

They are by far the best and most comfortable gloves I have EVER owned. I don’t have the waterproof lining (takes away too much feel as they are a bit thicker) but my winter gloves are still firmly in the closet and will stay there until it gets to about -3

They have commuted everyday, been on two trackdays, done a trip to Assen and back, and apart from the kangeroo discolouring and the grippy fingertips wearing off they are as good as new, and they are now 18 months old. they are a tad pricey but worth evry penny in my opinion.

I got some too! Tried on dozens of different makes over the last year and didn’t like the fit of any of them. Soon as put the Racers on they felt perfect straight away. Very good quality, made in Austria if memory serves. I particularly like the scapoid[sp?] protection for the ‘heel’ of your hand – the easily damaged bit that impacts the road first when you put your hands out to save yourself.

Yep, had a pair for over a year. Warm, comfy, waterproof and saved my knuckles in 2 spills.

I started with the summer Racers, a snip at £40-50 by comparison. They are perforated and very light. Don’t look too well protected (as if a bit of plastic or carbon on your knuckles does anything but look ‘cool’) but they’re doubled up on the knuckles, palms etc.

I concur.

Yeah great gloves…just a really stupid name

Its a sign of how good they are that Dainese and Alpinestars have changed the way they make their winter gloves to mirror what Racer have always done! ( and copy is such an ugly word )

Also peeps if you check our stores we have some reduced Racer winter gloves avail. too.

and what store would that be then?

okay the coast seems clear…Infinity @ Great Portland Street

Great gloves…So good someone stole mine at a trackday

Scumbags.
