i know its a differnt bike but when i had a nc30 with 33bhp kit fitted it seriously effected the pick up of the revs, although if you had a long enough bit of private land or runway;) it’d still reach 130 but take a considerable time getting there.
personally wait till you can ride a full power version or buy a bike that’s already 33bhp,if it was me i’d get a full power 125 as i’m sure it’d be more fun and cheaper than a restricted r6:hehe:
Can only think of a few things , the R6 has got to be significantly quicker than 150 , its speedometer is prob more honest than an NC30’s so lets say the NC will eventually reach 120 . Given there is not much weight difference i think a 33hp R6 and a 33hp NC30 will both do 120 , the R6 could get there quicker though . possibly .
33bhp restricted sports bike should really top out about 110 ish (as for the 130mph 33bhp vfr 400… my race bike only did about 135)
if you are going to get a big bike then restrict it, go for something with a bit of torque low down, something like a hornet/sv650/er6 etc. 600 sports bikes (the R6 most of all) dont do anything till the wrong side of 10krpm your 33 bhp will be made at about 10% throttle at about 6Krpm and will spin up so slowly it will be soul destroying. also, the day you de-restrict it, you will crack the throttle like you used to do, then probably end up up-side down lol
the restrictors on modern fly by wire bikes restrict throttle opening. on older carbed bikes you usually have washers that fit between the carbs and the inlet manifold, and sometimes a bolt on throttle stop too
@ matt …it was about 11 years ago and took a few miles downhill with a strong wind behind me :P,like exclude has said speedo prob not very accurate .normal conditions in 33bhp it’d reach 90-100mph easily, just glad it never stayed restricted too long and got to enjoy the benefit of that great little v4
