Check your service schedule in your manual but I’m sure the air filter is good for about 12,000 miles and the sparks should be good for 8000 miles.
If changing filter to a performance type, I’d suggest BMC over K&N as K&N apparently flows air inconsistently which adversely affects performance. Not in a big way mind and you’ll probably never notice, but hey 1 BHP here or there is a massive difference in the bike world right :rolleyes:
Saying all that, many race teams stick with the Yamaha OEM filter as it is very good as standard.
I use a BMC filter on my R1 … Mainly so I can clean it, rather than replace. Seems to work well with my pipes and PCIII.As for the rest of the parts; ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!’ - Leave it until it gets serviced.
