R1200rtp wiring?

Hi, new to London bikers I own a ex met r1200rtp and wanted to know if anyone out there had experience of reducing the web of excess wiring left over from all the extra lights , radio etc. I don’t want to just wade in with wire cutters .
Thanks for any help with this.

I wouldn’t go round cutting anything

the BMW uses a canbus system & doesn’t like it when things change

I agree, it’s highly likely BMW made a new loom for the police edition bike to replace the stock loom.

It’ll be cheaper to replace all the lights they removed to tidy up the loose wires

Has it got the flashing blue lights, and the bit that goes “nee naw nee naw nee naw…”?

Thanks for all the replies.
when I bought the bike it just had the radio box and narrow top opening side panniers still fitted but no lights or siren .i removed the radio box bracketed the panniers further back and fitted passenger seat and footrests ,in its original silver grey colour it looks a civilian rt. Goes well and handles ok for a big tourer and cheap to buy.
Probably best to leave the wiring as is then.

Curious to see a photo

Not all police forces use white bikes
some do have silver / grey bikes
