R1 front brake lever - Phuckthatsh1t! :-0

I finally put my R1 into Woodford M/C’s. When I popped into discuss/book the bike in there I was told how they strip the brakes etc as part of the service and I thought yeah, yeah! This was the first time since I bought the bike in March that a professional had set about it wi’a spanner.

They called to say the brake pads were low, should they change’em? At the end of the day I called to find out the bill and they advised me of a brake lever crack!

cor id blame the dodgy rider who keeps blowing up engines;)

You mean the dodgy rider with the blown engine!

I was no where near it :PGlad it was spotted before anything nasty could have happened.

imaging squeezing that hard and the skidmarks it would have left behind !!! At least you know now that they can be relied on for work quoted for …

Yep, looks like the best £400 I’ve spent in a long time. Practically 1yr to the day that I binned my other bike and hurt myself too!

Ps, the bike feels phookin sweet now too!

Yeah, I was gonna email the picture to Yamaha UK to see if its an issue they need to be aware of, assuming its an OE part?

Damn…You like living on the edge George :hehe:

You been doing some proper “white knuckle riding” on that bike!

I’ve got R1 master cylinders for both my bikes, but the later Brembo ones. Haven’t fitted them yet, but I’m hoping they sharpen up the feel of my brakes a bit.

I had no idea it was like that mate. As soon as the bike shop told me I asked why-the-f…what-on-earth they were gonna give me the friggin bike back like that!

Nah, I learnt to ride at the BGB riding school. Will have been the previous owner!:ermm: BGB? Big-Girlz-Blouse!

Sounds like they are doing a thorough job, so that’s good
