R1 Angel Eyes.

For those of you that asked

here are some of the very early shots of the first R1 fitted with the Angel Eye Concept. These shots are of a 2004 R1 but the set up is the same (being individual head light units) for later Models and the individual units on the new R6 range unlike the (singular headlight unit on R6,s) prior to 2006.

(SORRY THE PICTURES WILL NOT ATTACH , I WILL RE-FORMAT PICTURES AND REPOST )

make sure you do, im keen to see what they look like

looking forward to the photos.

See that they’re making kits to do this…

Looks cool though!

Dont go there Shatter…

Save your money,

What these people are selling is just plastic housing rings, the kind of stuff that lights christmas cards and childrens toys, if you got these they would melt inside your housing in seconds “f**king it all up”.

What they tell you on the site is that your housing needs to be modified, clever words when what they should say is that you need to change the original housing rings from the standard ones you have , then change the bulbs to lower the temperature, aircon the actual headlight housing by drilling it out and after all this you got to cross wire the headlight to get them to come on at the same time.

Then theres the switch gear that has got to be separate from your stock switching and last of all, you got to have the bikes wiring loom modified to run them with the ability to light both sides of the headlight housing in white. (after fitting these the headlight will only light on one side in white).

Two years Ive been fighting with this shit, now I have got it all I have to do is find out how I can get ready made units in to the country without the f**king customs and excise charging the customer £160 for offshore modifications !!

Stay Tuned Im on the case.

Nice one there barrow you really know your stuff! I would love to have that set up in my lights in my ZX6 mate would really love it but somehow dont think its gonna work

I mean you could get the ring effect in my head lights could you? see attached.

Hi Terry,

There a few things I need to look at same as Nels and Henns bikes,

Separate or single Headlight Housings ?,

Single or Double Light sources (bulbs) and the spacing between the actual headlight units and the space between the rear of the headlight lens and the back of the headlight housing caps.

Basically all this boils down to is …

Is there enough room between the units to get the wiring across and then the gizmo,s that operate it all in the back of the headlight.

I dont see why it cant be done if you are ok on these points.

They look fab. Can I ask how much that set you back?

Projector Transplant with 4 Angel Eyes
2004-2005 Suzuki GSXR 600/750

Finally available for the GSXR are 4 angel eyes that can be controlled by up to 3 switches.

Angel Eyes Color Options
You can choose from red/blue combo, red/amber combo, blue/amber combo, green/amber combo, or white.

Just to get to this stage Ive spent £640 fine tuning just the R6 set up alone.

(lots more ground to be covered to get these on the market at a decent price here in the UK)

Looks awesome Barro, really suits the R1/R6 (and the GSXR surprisingly)! Looks like you could be onto something really marketable there.

well cool bike barro

£640 , oh well, I’ll continue saving then or find a different line of work. It looks great though, very tempting for the old credit card. Have you scared any car drivers, pedestrians with them yet?

Ouch thats expensive! Top man!

Thanks Shatter but Im a long way off yet mate…who dares wins rodders !!!

Its great on the country roads…I was out in Steeple (East Anglia) dark as you like with no street lighting and flicked them on, on a twisting stretch of lane and screamed right up to an old duffer poodling along then dropped right back and switched them off with no white lights either. When I got to the Caravan Park later the same bloke was at the bar sinking large scotches and shaking like a leaf telling anyone who,d listen he had seen something weird !!

Nice one Barro! The Suzuki above is different to mine, but still fairly similar. I like it, I wouldn’t say no to a blue setup for my bike!

Excellent, I’ll definitely start saving now. I wonder what he thought he’d seen.
