Anybody on here use a quickshifter on the road? Are they a worthy upgrade for road use or just another bit of bling so to speak.
Dont want to waste money that could be best spent elsewhere !!
Cheers Fellas

I have one Darbo! It’s not worth for the road at all! It needs yuo to be really reving your bike and going for it to have a smooth change, otherwise it acn b very jumpy. Mine is set to kick only after 8k revs with takes the road use out if question.
It’s designed for the track and there is te only place you will see it working properly.
If you go to a motorway where you can rev your bike to the red line you will have fun wit the quickshift.
Not worth it for the road, only worth it on the track and then it hardly saves you any time. Better off buying some LB T Shirts.
Cheers Fellas, what will the t-shirts do for my bike will they make it faster or better handling
lol
Even on track it’s more about confort than save time. It’s just one less trouble to worry about, the clutch on up shift.
Buying an LB T shirt and wearing it will put slightly more weight over your front wheel (About a hundred grams depending on height) making turning into corners a fraction easier. On the plus side it will also make you the envy of those on the track with out one.
No clutch required on a upshift mate, especially on a track.
I can quick shift anything mate from
TV,S, DEEP FREEZE, TO DAVID BOWIE LP,S …
Arent they known to shag gearboxes pronto ? - or is that if they are not set up expertly ?
I had one on my K4 750 and couldn’t get it to run smoothly, always jerked when shifting. The manufacturer couldn’t get it working right either, and so we took it off. After a few months, the bike was sold and the gearbox when bang, eating itself up. Big problem, every cog was heavily worn, through the gears trying to be engaged whilst still under load. The manufacturer didn’t admit liability, but they rebuilt the engine free of charge all the same.
I wouldn’t run one again on an expensive road-bike.
