Was looking at the Site Issue & News section…saw a thread “Notice to site owners/admin”…and read something that our ol friend on here M9 had requested?..now it seems to me Mike has personal issues, and requested that he be taken off the forum for a while so he can step back and sort those issues out?..fair enough…and Jay, i take it you have been in contact or M9 in contact to inform you, about his reasons for the thread he put out…because you answered that you hoped he would be able to sort out whatever and come back on the forum…???
So can someone explain why …he now has BANNED MEMBER under his avitar??? He hasnt BEEN banned has he? Wasnt it HIM that requested to be taken off for a while…albeit maybe he doesnt want to take work from us for a while so he can sort other things out, and dont forget he gives us LBrs discount as it is for work he does?, so he gets repaid by being classed as now BANNED?..is that right or fair?
It just made me wonder what it takes to actually BE banned on this site then? IF he had been rude or violent or upset another so badly i could understand a ban…but he asked?..was there something i didnt read right there? (just a question, as im waiting to have some work done on my bike from Mike and dont want to “step out of line” if hes now banned or whatever?)…
If your a banned member, you dont get to come back on the forum…by that thread i took it that he asked to be taken off till hes ready to come back? i assume its cos he dont want anyone contacting him for a while albeit for work on our bikes or whatever reasons he sees fit…when hes ready he will be back sort of thing…therefore there is no banning of his membership, therefore it shouldnt be there under his name for us all to see…or should it?
It depends how the ban works. And you can be unbanned… it’s about the server letting the ip addy through, or the loggin through, it just needs someone to allow the ip or user to access the server.
It really is just a technicallity, a way of the forum suspending someones account.
Kind of…To be totally honest I forgot to change it - the account was suspended when he posted his message as it was late at night and no mods were about to answer any further posts.
Someone else jogged my memory the other day but I still forgot - sorry.

As was said Mike’s status on here has nothing to do with any work he undertakes for you.
I’d suggest PMing me or Jay in future as Mike’s LB account isn’t really a topic for discussion - unless he wants it to be.
OK, let me explain what i mean…yes i know mike is still giving discounts to LBrs, but ME,MYSELF would feel awkward getting that discount from someone who might have been banned from the forum? I dont like taking the pee and for ME it would feel like i was?..(if you get what i mean)…yeh i know hes still helping us all out…and my point was if he asked for his details to be taken off, that doesnt make him banned…anyway, its all over and done now, he no longer has banned member under his name as explained, it was an oversight…so alls well, and all that…i should have pm’d the mods…oh well …my bad
