Python vs. Alligator

Ouch!!

This National Park Service handout photo shows the hindquarters of a six-foot alligator as it protudes from midsection of the curved body of a dead 13-foot Burmese python in Everglades National Park, in south Miami-Dade, Florida, September 2005. The alligator may have clawed at the python’s stomach as the snake tried to digest it.

Although not native to Florida, over the years, many pythons have been abandoned in the Everglades by pet owners
