Its one sloppy messy movie . Slime and sweat quantitys possibly higher than Aliens
how much was you masturbating while watching it
It is not a good pudding puller movie … not much is pretty
Charlize Theron is worth a squirt but she plays a ThunderC*** in the movie
Can’t compare with Aliens, remember seeing the second one in the Odeon Marble Arch and had two ‘chatty’ women sitting next to me.
I overheard one say after about 15 mins that she did not know what all the fuss was about…then the action started and she screamed in my ear for the
rest of the movie.
it was an utter disappointment. so much potential so little delivery.
i was so unimpressed i didnt even bother to watch a decent dvd copy when it came out.
sometimes i think imagination is truly dead, i could have thought of a better script.
Dan, to translate into something that you could understand, its very much like you meet this awesome lady with big tits, you’re about to get busy with her and as she’s undressing you see the padding in the bra. she’s flat as an iron board.
I like these guys, this is what they had to say on Prometheus. Both worth a watch.
I totally disagree, at least with a flat chested girl you could bite her nipples and listen to her squeal.
Total disappointment felt like I was watching an old blake seven episode with modern special effects.
fair comment.
you can tell i dont go out with girls much.
Love it V funny ![]()
Prometheus interview with Scott:
Part 1 -
Part 2 -
Another interview (written) - http://screenrant.com/interview-ridley-scott-prometheus-rothc-177916/
The sequel is being planned.
I get a Jar Jar binks feeling around all of this .
Meesa definly no likee de plan fo’ Blade Runner seekwal! Nonononononono!
Silly Ridley-sa!
Why can’t he go and do something interesting . Like try and make a film of one of Iain Banks culture novels or something . Excession being a good choice if he feels the need for a space setting .
+1 over-hyped umimpressive arse…
I was flying out to Vegas while watching this movie on board , while we were eating breakfast I come across the bit where she has to use the laser to open her stomach up to get the alien out… First thing I done was told my mate next to me who was watching another film to look at my screen lol bit cruel that probably explains why the hostess spilt hot coffee on my knee shortly afterwards!!
So having not seen this, and being a lover of the Alien films should I watch this or do a Indiana Jones and Crystal Skull and not watch it and pretend it doesn’t exist?
i have mixed feelings about this film being a long time Alien franchise fan. I even loved Alien 3. Resurrection was awful though. Prometheus is better than that and better than the AvP films.
I wish the “engineers” were not human looking, i wish they were a lot larger. In the original they were obviously a lot bigger in that chair. The foetus/baby shouldnt have looked like a squid either. Other than that I liked most of the film, but like most sci fi prequels the technology is more advanced than the films set after them which irks me a bit
^^ disagree. although alien 4 was a bit iffy, still better than prometheus. even AVP is better, at least there’s fighting and stuff!
I would watch it.
I love ‘Alien’ and ‘Aliens’, the others not so much, and I enjoyed this as much as the others. In comparison with the first two genre defining films which happened to be linked by storyline, ‘Prometheus’ doesn’t stand up.
But as Ridley says in the interview - the Alien is dead as a character in his eyes and he is interested in the other questions left unanswered by his first film (‘Alien’).
If you’re a lover of the franchise, watch it, but don’t go into it with such high expectations and you won’t be disappointed - like almost every critic & reviewer (who probably grew up with the originals) did.
I agree, it was a bit strange to see a different chest-burster type thing, but if you take into account the worm/ snake hybrid and the fact the the black goo seems to transform what infects with alien creature-like properties, this can be excused. Bloody virgin birth eh!
Remember though, that we still have to suspend a certain degree of disbelief with all films, Sci-Fi in particular; would you really have expected any director with all the tools available to dumb-down the tech? Scott already kept CGI to a minmum compared to others.
