Hi all, I’ve been looking through the forum for a while now & you seem like a decent bunch so I thought I’d come out of the shadows.
I’ve been riding for about 5 years all in. In that time I’ve had a Vespa (it got nicked then torched), an SV650S which I adored (it got nicked) and now a lovely new Gloss Black 749 which I adore even more (I’ll kill them if they even try)! I was about to go on track with the SV when it disappeared and I’m still a bit precious about the 749 but am hoping to do it this summer.

Hmmm, Cubana, is that the place just South of the river, near Waterloo somewhere? I had one of the best steaks of my life there a few weeks ago! No can do tonight, I’ll definitely be up for going back there sometime though!

Hi mate, nice ped. Get an Almax chain if you haven’t already. And a trackday. Don’t worry about taking your brand new £8k bike out on track and caning it…I just did and it didn’t hurt at all

Yep, when possible, not too busy this afternoon obviously!
They are indeed still doing that. This Friday they have one of those freefall machines (massive fan, a flappy suit & lots of bouncy castle around to catch you) and I’m off, I’ll be 100 miles away! Not pleased!
Ebike are no longer giving a discount on Oxford chains, as they’re not good enough. Get an Almax one, as it’s apparently the bee’s knees. Got me a nice discount on my insurance, too! LB gets £10 off the price (I’ve got a 2m one, to reach the lamp post, and paid about £150 for it, together with the lock; you’ll also get a carrying case although I can’t see myself carrying this around, as it weighs about 15kg! Next day delivery, too!).
Hmmm, OK, I’m convinced that my Oxford chain is on pushbike duty from now on. Any opinions on the Monster lock?
I know what you mean about the Vespa, I was almost as gutted as it was!
