Pretty chuffed with myself...

Managed to successfully change my front tyre, all in my 1hour lunch break…

I did cheat a bit though by asking the chaps at the garage over the road for their compressor…

If anyone knows of a way to seat tyre beat without a compressor, I will give you a lollipop…

i look forward to the video on balancing it

oh and you can seat a tyre with a very small amount of lighter fluid or brake cleaner.

remove valve core, squirt SMALL amount of lighter fluid or brake cleaner into tyre, ignite from a distance. tyre will inflate onto rim.

important to leave valve core out so pressure can escape

umm… Yeah I might be coming to see you soon to get it balanced haha

I’ve seen the flaming bead seating trick on youtube but I decided I’d give it a miss considering my history and fire related situations…

So it actually works? And it’s fine to leave the burnt gasses in the tyre?

i have used this many times. usually on tyres that have been badly stacked and wont pop out enough onto a rim for even a compressor to get them going.

you dont leave the burnt gas in it. thats why you take the valve core out. wait till it has done its thing, and then re fit the valve core and inflate to recommended pressure.

oh and make sure you bring my lollipop when you come down…

You will be getting a lollipop

And another one the week after so long as my wheel weights stay stuck on :stuck_out_tongue:

dont leave your wheels in the shed during winter this time
