Thanks Brian for your time and experience today, gave me a lot more confidence in my bike and helped the setup tremendously. Now I only have myselt to blame and not the bike setup 
Also thanks to Les at LJ Motorcycles for looking at my radiator and topping up my brake fluid at very short notice and saved me the embarrassment of potentially costly repairs.
