Hi all how can I get a fag lighter wired up to the battery on my bike so I can power my tomtom, I dont want to hack at any wires so striaght from the battery if possible ? I guess I could rip apart one of those twin jobs you get from halfords and hook it up to the battery but I am quite sure that if I connect it direct it will fry the tomtom.

Hi, it will not fry the tomtom as it’s meant to run on 12v DC and but it would be wise to have a fuse added to the setup.
Cut the positive wire from the battery to the tomtom and add a fuse with the correct amps check on the unit.
some bike fuse boxes have an external bit to wire such things into with its own fuse.
I GOT THE POWER I bought a 2 plug box for £3.99 put a fuse in line and hooked it up to the battery and bam it lit up with a cool blue led but I did not this to put a switch inline so have to pull the fuse.
