Has anyone put a power commander on a CBR 600RR 07 is it worth doing ?

I’m putting one on my '06 R1 mate … although I’ve moded mine so I really need it to sort out the ‘lean’ issues i’m currently having.

I have heard of lots of good things, even on a standard bike with the PC3 … where are you getting it from out of curiosity?

As far as I’m aware it’s only really worth doing if you’re gonna get a custom fuel map made for your bike. You can download maps from the power commander website but these have been made for a different bike, and although it may have the same exhaust, air filter etc, there will be variations in things like quality of the petrol and the engine will have been made under slightly different tolerances etc, so it’s not gonna be perfect.

I installed a power commander that I bought on ebay for 135 nearly new (check it out; I’m sure I saw one for the RR7 on there the other day), and I’m getting a custom map tomorrow so I’ll let you know how much difference it makes. I bought a Yoshimura GP force so there was no map for me to download, otherwise I would’ve tried that first to save paying for the custom map.

PS You don’t own the black CBR I’ve seen parked up in W10 this week do you? Thought it might be yours as you’re calling yourself Johnnyreggae and there’s a big West Indian scene in this part of town.

PC111 are always putting on mate they will smooth out the power delivery add a race filter and youll bring up your bhp there a must i sell them cheaper then retail uk part not imports rrp is 279 we do them for 245 not giving you a sells pitch mate you either want them at lb dicount or not thats all

also you may want to check out www.600rr.net they’ve got a ton of info on the 07-08 RR. Just have to be brave enough to deal with the American banter:D or lack there of:w00t:

if you buy from abroad dynojet will not honor any warrenty as imported

I put the PCIII on today … what a world of difference it has made!!
