Popping & Banging Bike

Hello - Just need to ask this to put my mind at ease, I’ve fitted a K&N & an Akra race can and now the bike does some loud pops and bangs which sound wicked and I love it but is it damaging anything as I havent had it setup on a dyno?

If I had it setup on a dyno will it still make the same noises (please say yes!) :smiley:

yes its ok and yes it will still do it after dyno, acro and k and n is the best set up for your bike, i got the same mate. its unburnt fuel on the over run which makes the pop its fine dont worry mate.

Yep mine is Dyno’d and does it too- flames at night :cool:

Might be worth getting it set up on a dyno anyway, fitting a different filter and can will alter the fuel/air etc and the way it dipenses it.

Agreed, probably wants remapping, either that or get some earplugs;)

Yeah I am planning on getting it done but if I can live with it for a bit I’ll leave it til I’ve got the cash - it is popping flames, little blue ones and the odd orange one, loving it :hehe:

So who’s bringing the marshmallows to the next ride out, between the busa and the gixer we should be able to toast them nicely (fuel flavoured partially melted sweetie anyone? :sick: )

i Have the same setup on my k4 750 mark, plus power commander and dyno set up…

Mine never pops and bangs on the over run… haha

Sorry but any way you look at it “unburnt” fuel in the pipe making it spit blue flames and pop and bang means it aint fueling right…

and its a waste of fuel…!!!

Yeah I know its a waste of fuel but aslong as its not doing any real damage thats all I was worried about, I will get it setup because trying to do sensible pull away can be a bit dodgy at times due to the fuelling

But it does sound good :smiley:

Aahh. You never said it was running like a pig :w00t: If it’s set up right you’ll get the pop and bang on overun only and the odd flame.Just like BSB, WSB if its set up for power :cool:
