Squid is a slang term for people who ride like idiots (stand up wheelies on the expressway (usually while wearing a pair of shorts, sneakers, oakley sunglasses and a visor on backwards and upside down etc etc etc). I think maybe a “Chav” might be roughly equivalent in the U.K.?
I think the term originated in California…the “old school” bikers called the kids who began taking up biking “squirrely kids” or “squids”…I’ve also heard it explained that squid in the ocean live for only a year…about the same life expectancy of those who ride like idiots with no gear. :shrug
And no, I don’t think being one is something you should aspire to. 
I take it as a compliment, a form of flattery, that we have the best content out there, heh. People who steal our bandwidth get a word in their ear, people like this, not so much, not often worth it, unless it’s a really popular viewing.
