Looking to get some new hoops for my gsxr 600. What should i go for between the corsa and super corsa? Will just be for the road on dry weather. After quick heating tyres which give plenty of grip.

Cheers, Dan.

Hey Spearsy. If it’s just road riding you’re going to be doing, then the Diablo Corsa is the tyre to go for. The Super Corsa is race tyre, with the benefits of its stiffer construction and different grip qualities only really useful on track. I run the Diablo Corsa’s on my K5 and absolutely swear by them, they’ve never let me down, even when TRYING to spin it up in the wet. They’re also very good track tyres, I’ve done four trackdays on them this year (on the same pair).

Cheers, Jay. All i need to know. Thanks

I need a new back tyre too, and was thinking of the Super Corsa. Good to know you get on well with them on a Gixxer too Jay.

I normally dont leave home without Diablo Corsa’s. What was i using last week when i crashed twice at Rockingham?

MICHELIN !!!

Silver, Super Corsas for the track, Diablo Corsas for the road. It’s a great setup. I wanted more road grip this time round, so opted for the Diblo Corsas, but when running SC’s on the track, it’s fantastic, a real improvement.

I am as per Jay. I run super corsas on my racing SV and my track bike ZX7. Ordinary corsas on the road. Metzler Rensports are also a highly rated tyre. I am just getting shot of the Michelin Pilot Sports on my ZX6, they have caused many a hairy moment and in my opinion are absolutely CRAP.

Got Diablo Corsas on my Mille, have no complants about them at all. Give me bags of confidence on the road and not too bad in the wet either (can still get the knee down ).

Got Diablo’s on my SRAD, never let me down, wicked in the rain ‘not that I ride that much in the rain’ - Might go for the corsa’s next time… unsure for the moment…

Iv’e been running Metzler Rennsports for a couple of years and really rate them, although they have a new version out now called something
like Ractec.

Racetecs are comparable to the Super Corsa tyres. I used to run Racetecs last year on my K4 750, they’re awesome tyres, they’re comparable to the Super Corsas, but they slide much more progressively when pushed too far.

And for those of us not rich enough to be able to afford two sets of wheels/tyres? I’d read that Super Corsas would the ones for race/trackdays and Diablo Corsas for fast road/trackdays. Just need to find somewhere that won’t charge me an arm and a leg now!
