Hi, what do you guys can share about wrapping pipes? I am looking to buy one bike and the wrapping is old and needs to be changed. how much is that? not planning to do it myself…
it’s relatively simple to do yourself to be honest, no specialist tools needed. have a look on youtube for tutorials.
There are benefits and risks with pipe wrapping.
The main risks are lean fuelling and overheating, which can lead to an expensive engine failure!
Re-mapping or re-jetting, depending on the fuelling system, may eliminate some of the risk but not all.
